iDrive Road Stories

The Ministry of Transportation in Partnership with OSAID, Student Life Education Company and arrive alive DRIVE SOBER has produced a 24 minutes road safety video for youth.

This DVD will be provided free to all Ontario educators who wish to discuss the issues associated with teens and driving. This education curriculum piece consists of a 24 minute DVD and discussion guide.

OVERVIEW OF “IDRIVE” ROAD SAFETY DVD

This presentation is intended to raise the awareness of drivers and passengers under the age of 25 including the risks and consequences of aggressive and unsafe driving.

PRESENTATION OBJECTIVES

After the presentation and discussion participants will be able to:

  • Better identify risks and consequences of driver distraction, speeding, drowsy driving, impairment by alcohol and drugs, and failing to buckle up;
  • Recognize factors that contribute to these unsafe driving behaviors; and
  • Develop strategies for making better driving-related decisions.

The DVD includes segments on driver distraction, crash trauma, excessive speeding, drowsy driving, impairment by alcohol and/or drugs, and seatbelt use.
